Glock Pistol Match
Coordinator: David Kirk(850) 422-2974 Date/Time: Fourth Saturday of each month, 1:30 pmLocation: Ranges A1, A2, and BCost: Members: $8.00 | Non-members: $8.00Description: This match serves as a practice event to develop proficiency with Glock pistols and to prepare individuals for the national Glock competition. All skill levels are welcome. The TRPC Glock match uses the rules and course of fire of the national matches sponsored by Glock Inc.* The course of fire is a combination of accuracy and speed. Scoring favors accuracy over speed. There is no drawing, running or speed reloading. Re-shoots are available for equipment malfunctions. Course of fire is 3 separate stages. The plates: Plates are the 8 inch metal targets, and there are 6 on each rack. The stage is 4 racks and they are at a fixed distance 11 yards. You load 11 rounds then shoot the plates as smoothly as you can. Your score is the amount of time you took to shoot all 4 racks + 10 points (ten second penalty) for each plate left standing. If you were to load and shoot more than the allowed number of bullets each one would add 10 points. Speed is good but you can cost yourself more by leaving plates standing - you can not miss fast enough to win. Five to Glock: Five paper targets are set up at distances from 5 to 25 yards. The 25 yard target is directly in front of you. The 5 and 15 yard targets are to the left side of it. The 10 and 20 yard target to the right of the 25 yard target. You load 11 rounds and shoot each of the targets twice. You do this three times. There are rings on the target A, B, C and the rest of the target is D, a miss is M. Hits inside the A or B rings do not add extra points to your time. C adds 1point. D adds 3 points. M adds 10 points. Shooting more than 10 rounds add 10 points each. The M Stage: There are 4 paper targets: 2 are at 7 yds. 2 are at 15 yds. There are 1 or 3 metal poppers at 11 yds. You shoot each paper target 2 times and one popper (only) must be knocked down for each round. Knocking down more that 1 in a round is a 10 point penalty. You do this three times. This stage is scored like in the Five to Glock. Your score is the total from all 3 stages added together. Go to: www.gssfonline.com for a full description of the rules and pictures of the course of fire.
