New Member Orientation

New members are required to attend a New Member Orientation. These meetings are held on Saturdays after Range Workdays, see the dates below. The orientation is from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. It includes a written test on the club rules and bylaws, a range safety briefing, a facility and range tour and a free lunch. Attendance of the full orientation (9:00 am - 3:00 pm) is mandatory to receive your membership package, ID badge and keys to the range.

Requirements for Membership

  1. Proof of firearms training.

    • Firearms Training Certificates and hunter's education may be obtained from the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Their office is in Panama City, Florida, but several courses are held in Leon and surrounding counties every year. Please call (850) 265-3676 between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM for a schedule and to pre-register. Their schedule is also available on the FWC website.
    • Firearms Training Certificates may also be obtained at Gun and Knife Shows held periodically at the North Florida Fairgrounds; additionally, there are several local vendors who provide firearms training for a fee.

  2. Proof of membership in the National Rifle Association.

    3. Membership in the NRA is required throughout your membership in the TRPC and proof of NRA membership is required to renew your annual club membership (For NRA membership inquires call 1-800-672-3888 or visit their website http://www.nra.org/).

  3. The fee for a new membership is $100 +tax (initiation fee) plus annual dues of $60 +tax = $172.00

    Those who join between January 1 and July 1 pay the initiation fee plus pro-rated dues = $139.75.
