This information is from October, 2016. Information for the next event will be posted when it is available.

Where: (map) At the Range of the Tallahassee Rifle & Pistol Club, south of Tallahassee, west of Woodville. From Woodville Highway at Woodville, go west at the traffic light onto Oak Ridge Road (CR 2204) about 2 miles and turn north on Community Drive (sand road across from the sawmill with the white circular saw blade). A green-and-white sign (TRPC) at Community Drive points to the range. Go north on Community Drive, turn right (east) on Pistol Range Road to the chain-link front gate of the range.

When: Saturday, October 1, 2016, 9am to noon (approximately). This is a one-day event this year.

Activities: We will offer Safety and Marksmanship instruction, 22-caliber target rifle shooting, shotgun shooting at both the Trap and Sporting Clays ranges, 22-caliber rifle Metallic Silhouettes and Muzzleloading Rifle shooting.

Procedure: Arrive at the range gate. A parking spot will be assigned. Sign in with your Troop number, number of Scouts and number of leaders, and a contact phone number or e-mail address for the acting leader. A TRPC range Guide will be assigned to the troop. First activity for all groups will be the Safety and Marksmanship event. After that, troops may participate in the other activities in any convenient order. Any targets or awards will be given to the Scoutmaster. He will give them to the Scouts after they have left an activity.

Important: All firearms, ammunition and targets are furnished for the Scouts at no cost. No personal firearms or ammunition are to be brought. Troops are encouraged to bring their own water and other beverages, although a drinking water fountain and M/F restrooms are available in the range clubhouse.

Reservations and Information: We would really like approximate head counts for the troops wishing to participate (both Scouts and adults), during September, so that we can have enough supplies on hand. Thanks for working with us on this.
